Married millenials not likely to have joint bank accounts

There are a number of superlatives that can describe last weekend's royal wedding: romantic, picturesque, regal and symbolic. The last is appropriate given the many deviations from tradition. For instance, the bride's future father-in-law walked her down the aisle instead of her own father. An American bishop gave a sermon in a very "American" way. Also, a gospel choir sung a classic R&B song.

How to save money when getting divorced

If you are contemplating a divorce and are unsure of it because of the potential costs, you are likely not alone. With all the money that goes into planning and having a wedding, no one ever thinks about the costs of getting out of a marriage. Nevertheless, the costs are there.

Does couples therapy mean a divorce is imminent?

It is unknown where this urban myth started or when it began, but many believe that couples therapy is the proverbial "kiss of death" to a marriage. Essentially, once people go to couples therapy, their marriage is already over. Because of this, a number of spouses (particularly men) may not want to attend couples therapy.

Thoughts on summer parenting time disputes

The 2017-2018 school year will be drawing to a close shortly. For divorcing or separated parents, this may be a time of additional trepidation due to concerns over what the kids will do over the summer. Ideally this will be a time for children to participate in sports camps, daycare activities (aka day camp) or spend additional time with extended family.
