Patrick Kubasek

Sacramento, California

Patrick is a native of Twain Harte, a small town in the foothills of Northern California. He earned his bachelor's degree in international studies at the University of Washington with an emphasis on Latin American history.  Patrick also received a minor in history at the University of Washington. In his second year of undergraduate studies Patrick studied abroad in Ecuador for the academic year. During this time he became proficient in Spanish and assisted several small communities with agricultural and economic projects focused on sustainability.

After graduation, Patrick moved back to Northern California to work as a seasonal firefighter for government agencies such as National Park Service in Yosemite National Park, the U.S. Forest Service, and Cal-Fire.  Influenced by his experiences helping others as a firefighter, Patrick wanted to further assist people facing difficult circumstances by pursuing a career in family law.

Patrick attended the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.  While at McGeorge, Patrick was a recipient of the public service scholarship, was on the Dean's List, received a business law concentration, interned for a California State Senator and worked as a certified law student in the Elder and Health Law Clinic on campus.  His experience in the Elder and Health Law Clinic allowed Patrick to advocate on behalf of low income community members for social security and disability benefits, obtain restraining orders, draft wills and trusts, and assist elders struggling with financial abuse.

Since graduation, Patrick has dedicated himself to family law. He has utilized his past experience to focus on the unique and individualized needs that each family law matter requires. Patrick practiced family law in Roseville prior to joining Bartholomew and Wasznicky LLP.
